Robert Trim is an experienced business consultant and policy advisor with specific expertise in strategic planning, business development, community engagement, crisis management, marketing and public relations. Mr. Trim demonstrated exceptional skills in the areas of organizational development, communications and media management
Over his 20+ year political career, Robert was involved in dozens of winning campaigns as a chief strategist, consultant, day-to-day manager and researcher. He has served as a trusted advisor to senior Republican officials across the state of Georgia . In his role as a political consultant, Robert's candidates were successfully elected in 95% of the races where he was the primary consultant. In 2003, Mr. Trim was asked to return to Georgia’s Capitol to help run the State and Local Government Committee under Senator John Wiles. As committee aide Robert was invaluable in the passage of legislation creating the City of Sandy Springs, protecting the integrity of Georgia’s elections with the passage of Georgia’s Voter ID laws as well as making sure that legislation enabling local governments was passed in a timely and legal fashion.
Mr. Trim may be most recognizable for his leadership within the movement to bring a constitutional amendment for charter schools to Georgia. Robert was instrumental in shepherding HB 1162, Georgia Charter School Amendment, through the General Assembly during the 2012 legislative session while working for Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers. The Amendment was placed on the November 2012 for a statewide vote and passed by an overwhelming majority.
Mr. Trim is a graduate of Kennesaw State University, with a B.A. in Political Science. He chartered the College Republicans at Kennesaw State University. Robert was a delegate to Georgia State Republican Convention in 1999, a member of Kennesaw State University Alumni Association, Hands on Atlanta, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, and past Chairman of the Board, BEST Foundation. Mr. Trim has been asked to serve on blue ribbon committees dealing with school system growth and legislative reapportionment.
Robert Trim lives in north metro Atlanta with his wife Kelly and two dogs. He enjoys endurance sports and completed Ironman Chattanooga in 2015.
